UNDER CONSTRUCTION – On what was a vacant site, the owner wanted to reconstruct the original fisherman’s cottage from historic photographs. The cottage was constructed when settlement first occurred in Pretty Beach. The cottage has been given a modern twist, with excavation below to accommodate basement parking, which is contrasted in colour and construction to the cottage above. The rear addition comprises of a contrasting contemporary geometric ‘addition’ elevated to reach for distant water views.
