The focus of this new home design was to ensure the main living areas and bedrooms were on the same floor level, while locating the dwelling to maximise the feeling of being elevated in the trees. A steeply sloping site presented challenges from a bushfire and wastewater disposal standpoint. The solution was the splay the key parts of the home in to ‘wings’ to follow the contours of the site, all while maintaining a northern aspect.
