A large site consisting of a small 60’s weatherboard cottage and a brand new rear deck, the brief from the client was simple – new home, but keep the deck.

This north facing site, with the house positioned towards the front of a large block did not suit the clients requirements. After looking at a substantial renovation it became apparent that a demolition and new build was the right approach in order to fulfill the brief. With a more traditional exterior look, the new home consists of 4 bedrooms, and a generous open plan living area extending out to the existing deck.
